Judge David Kelly retires with effect from 17 October 2023.
Background information
Judge Kelly was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1980. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1999, a Recorder in 2000 and a Fee-paid Immigration Judge in 2006. He was appointed a Salaried Immigration Judge (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber)) in 2007 and a Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2010. He has been an Assistant Resident Judge since 2019.
