High Court Appointment: Leech QC
The Queen is pleased to approve the appointment of a Justice of the High Court. This appointment will take effect from 1 November 2021. It is anticipated that further appointments will be announced in the coming months.
The candidate approved as a High Court Judge is Thomas Leech QC.
This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements. Thomas Leech QC
Thomas Leech QC, aged 57 will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Leech. He was Called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1988 and took Silk in 2010. He was appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge sitting in the Chancery Division in 2019.
He will take up appointment on 1 November 2021.
The Lord Chief Justice will assign Thomas Leech QC to the Chancery Division.
