District Judge Appointment: Emery
The Queen has appointed Philip Anthony Giles Emery to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Civil Justice Centre with effect from 7 February 2022.
Background Information
Philip Anthony Giles Emery, aged 52, will be known as District Judge Emery. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1998 and was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2008. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
