District Judge Pre-Application Seminar 2024 (b)
The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) will be launching a selection exercise in November to recruit District Judges. This exercise is for 80 vacancies in London and the South East only.
The seminar
The Judicial Office is organising a pre-application seminar that will take place online via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 14th November 2024 5-6:15pm.
The seminar aims to help applicants be better prepared to make an application and to receive up-to-date guidance and advice on the JAC’s selection process. As well as the JAC, you will also hear from current serving District Judges.
There will be another District Judge Pre-Application Seminar on Wednesday 20th November 5-6:15pm if you are unable to make this date.
Who should attend?
Candidates must have 5 years post qualification legal experience and are expected to have at least 15 sitting days as a judge or in a quasi-judicial capacity.
Applications are particularly welcome from under-represented groups (women, ethnic minority candidates, disabled candidates, solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives).
Training is provided for all appointed.
