Circuit Judge Appointment: Charman
The King has appointed Andrew Charman to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Midlands Circuit, based at Birmingham County Court with effect from 20 November 2023.
Andrew Charman will be known as His Honour Judge Charman. He was admitted onto the Roll of Solicitors in 1992, and was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1994. He was appointed as Recorder in 2020.
