Circuit Judge Appointment: Burne
The Queen has appointed Anna Claire Louise Burne to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Croydon County Court with effect from 23 February 2022.
Background Information
Anna Claire Louise Burne, aged 44, will be known as Her Honour Judge Burne. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2001. She was appointed as a Dept District Judge in 2013 and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) in 2019.
