Chief Master Shuman
Karen Shuman was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in 1991. She practised at the Chancery Bar with a focus on solicitor professional negligence claims in chancery related work.
Karen has been actively involved in education at Lincoln’s Inn, course directing the Practice Management course for pupils and being a lead in Ethics training at the Inn. She was elected a bencher in 2015. She is chair of the Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee at Lincoln’s Inn and co-convener of the Inns of Court Women’s Alliance.
Karen is an editor of Theobald on Wills.
She was made a Chancery Master in December 2017, and appointed Chief Chancery Master in July 2021.
