Circuit Judge Appointment: Porter-Bryant
The King has appointed Matthew Seymour Porter-Bryant to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Brandon Lewis CBE MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Welsh Circuit, based at Cardiff Civil Justice Centre with effect from 3 October 2022.
Background Information
Matthew Seymour Porter-Bryant will be known as His Honour Judge Porter-Bryant. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1999. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013, as a District Judge in 2017 and as a Recorder in 2022.
