Circuit Judge Appointment: Anna Williams
The Queen has appointed Anna Williams to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Chelmsford County Court with effect from 17 January 2022.
Background Information
Anna Williams, aged 53, will be known as Her Honour Judge Anna Williams. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1990. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013 and as a District Judge in 2016.
