Guidance note from the President of the Upper Tribunal’s Administrative Appeals Chamber: using CE File
Dame Judith Farbey, Chamber President of the Upper Tribunal Administrative Appeals Chamber, has issued guidance on the electronic filing of documents online (CE-File). CE-File is the online system for filing documents electronically at the Chamber. It is also a database that enables Tribunal users to access their cases. Please read the guidance note below.

District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Retirement: Mottram
District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Lesley Mottram retires with effect from 9 April 2022. Background information District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Mottram (69) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1976. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates Courts) in 2000 and a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2005.

District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Retirement: Woollard
District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) John Ian Woollard retires with effect from 9 April 2022. Background information District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Woollard (67) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1977. He was appointed as an Acting Stipendiary Magistrate in 1992 and a Stipendiary Magistrate (now known as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts)) in 1998.

Circuit Bench Retirement: John
His Honour Judge Stephen Alun John retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 9 April 2022. Background information His Honour Judge John (69) was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1975. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1999, a Recorder in 2000 and a Circuit Judge in 2008.
